In October we all lost a major part of our life. Our dear Grandma went to live with HeavenlyFather. Even just writing this brings tears to my eyes. Although she was Jimmie's Grandma, she was more than any Grandma I ever knew. In fact she is my Grandma although I only knew her for eight years, I feel like she taught me through example more than I could ever ask her. Its funny, everyone feels the same way. The major thing that sticks out in my mind is the way she loved her husband. They are the cutest couple I have ever seen, always hand in hand, serving each other and laughing together. I want Jimmie and I to follow in their footsteps. Thanks Grandma for showing us what true love is.
How thankful I am that Koa got to know her.
So I don't know why it has taken me this long to get Halloween pictures up since it is almost Thanksgiving, but better late than never right? We went with the Toy Story theme this year for Halloween and had a great time. Koa was super happy that his Mom and Dad dressed up with him. Jimmie was such a good sport. Don't look to close at the costumes then you will see my true sewing skills.
After we went to St. George for the funeral we spent a few days in Vegas visiting my sister and her cute kids.
I also got to see my girls Lindsey Nelson and Genie Swensen. It was great to spend time with them. Thanks Linds for letting Koa and I stay in your sweet house, I am way jealous!!!!
Of course we had to participate in the annual Smith Family pumpkin carving contest. Which my brother usually rigs but this year, Koa's pumpkin won. Actually he got second, my Mom won, but since it was her party she was nice enough to let Koa have the winning title.
Oh P.S. JIMMIE , KOA AND I ARE GOING TO HAVE AN ADDITION TO OUR FAMILY...ANOTHER LITTLE BOY!!!!!
We can't wait, Koa is more than happy to have a brother!
