This is For the Grandmas Who miss Koa Man

All of the poor students have to be creative with our activities, when we found out the zoo was doing a free day for museum week, we jumped all over it. Koa was in heaven seeing all the animals for the first time. To bad Jimmie had to study, we missed having him with us.

Brittany Andersen is nine months prego here. We had a good time at her baby shower. She is my hero!

Koa and Kade are best buds. They have a blast together. Koa gets more than excited to hang out with Kade. About an hour before Kade comes over, Koa is saying Kade, Kade, Kade a million times. It is actually the only time I can ever get anything done around the house. I would adopt this kid if his parents would let me.

I honestly would be so lost without the wives here to help me through the weeks. Many of the girls are not in this picture. I sure do miss the ones who have moved on with real life, you know who you are:)

Our First Orlando Temple Trip

Its amazing how much I took for granted the temple when it was ten minutes away from me in Utah. Now that we have to drive three hours you cherish every moment. Thanks for the fun time guys!

Another Free Day at the Botanical Gardens

This was our first outing with the Goldberg Family. They are awesome, and of course there will be many more.

Put me in Coach!

My little man was ready to rock with his Dixie State shoes, flags and Aloha shirt.  It's so funny to see him run around the field.  He is even working on his pre-game Haka.  I sure hope he gets grandpa Averett's speed.  Love my little REBEL.

Below Knee Docs

School is back in and more importantly flag football has started.  Don't worry, I ripped a huge hole in my new under armor shorts in our third game and had to play most of the game with my camo undies hanging out.  Not a good site!  But I love our team.  We are having fun and enjoy taking it to the youngsters here at Barry University.  The best part of each game is watching my little man Koa run around the side lines with his own flags tied tight to his waist. Got to love football!

Endless Summer

Caution: I posted tons of pictures SORRY!
Needless to say we had an amazing summer! We spent some quality time with family and friends playing hard.

The Smith Family Reunion took place in San Diego. This was our last trip with my little brother Stevie before his mission to Tulsa Oklahoma. I can't believe he is going on a mission, I am going to miss him so stinkin much. We are way close.

Thanks to Kathy for letting Koa and I move in for a month. We had a blast hanging out and spending time with Grandma. She taught Koa some great tricks. The poor twins had to deal with Koa beatin them up. They have gotten so BIG

Cox Family Reunion in Beaver Mountain:
I can't describe how nice it was to wear jeans and a sweatshirt in the summer. We had a blast hiking, eating, reading and just being with extended family. Koa was in heaven. He loved playing in the dirt from sun up to sun down.

From Disneyland to watching David Beckman get kick out of the soccer game, to wakeboarding, and picnics, we used our time wisely! Thank you everyone for hanging out with us. We had such a good time. We sure do love St. George and California, but we did miss Florida and our friends who are honestly our family here. We are glad to be back in the real world. We just moved into our new apartment down the hall. It is bigger and the view is AMAZING. The offer still stands... we would love visitors!!!

Dear Nichole,

I miss you and our baby boy so much.  It has been way to long.  I really don’t think I have told you lately that you are an amazing mother and wife.  Being in med. school takes me away from you and Koa so much.  I know that it will be worth it in the end.  But it is so hard sometimes.

I’m sure others have had similar days, where they leave the house before the kids are up and return home after the kids are back in bed.  And the mom has done all the work!  Did you know Coly that I hate not being able to play with you and Koa every day?  School is very hard but it doesn’t even hold a candle to the difficulty I have not being able to be close to you all the time like when we lived in Hurricane. Living the easy life.

And to think that you gave up your dream job coaching soccer at Dixie State to follow me here for my dream.  Only to find out that you would be doing all the work raising our sweet son.  You amaze me!  Every day I wake up and every night before I fall asleep, I thank our Father in Heaven for you.  You complete me.

Thank you Coly for supporting me here in Miami.  I love you and Koa so much.  I love my school and the opportunity we have here in Miami.  Thank you for making my dreams come true.

            Love you, JAA.

Ps- Kiss my baby boy for me and tell him daddy will be home this week!

Goodbye to our Buddies!

Lindsey Nelson is the ring leader of Florida. She sets up the play dates, organizes the running groups, and is one of my best friends! I feel so lucky to have had so many good memories with her. She will really really really be missed. Florida just won't be the same without you.

My Father, My Hero

I just wanted to give a little shout out to my Dad! He is the best Dad, I often wonder why I got so lucky to be born into such a wonderful home. I just want you all to know how awesome of a man he is. He has worked at a Honda Dealership FOREVER! He has put in so many long hours for my family. What an example he has set for all of his kids never to give up and to always work hard. My Dad is such a good listener. I can remember just waiting for him to come home at night when I had a hard day. He would sit on the edge of my bed and make my world better. He watched so many soccer games, stayed up late so many nights waiting for me to come home, and always made sure I knew he loved me and that I would forever be his little girl. I feel so lucky to be able to call Tim Smith my Father, (he even surfs every Friday, what other girl can say that about their Dad) and my best friend. Happy Father's Day Dad!

I also feel very lucky to have a great father in-law Big AL!
